McGrew Realtor® Steve LaRue will represent Realtors® from Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma on the National Association of Extended Realtor’s Leadership Team. The Regional Vice Presidents consist of 13 elected individuals who are appointed to oversee the work of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) in their respective region.
LaRue was elected by the Kansas Association of Realtors and approved by the Region 9 Trustees before being nominated and voted on by NAR Directors earlier this month in Washington D.C. He previously had the opportunity to have a regional leadership position as the Regional Political Committee Trustee.
“I want to be a voice for our members and to make sure that the leaders at [NAR] know the issues that are important to the agents in our area,” LaRue says.
LaRue believes it is important to take on leadership roles in his real estate career.
“Realtor® volunteer leadership has changed my life. It has put me in the room with people that do business on a scale that was unimaginable to me 10 years ago. The relationships I have built with Realtors® across the country have been so rewarding, both in the way that I do business, but also in the friendships I’ve built,” he says.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McGrew Real Estate, Michael McGrew, weighs in on LaRue’s accomplishments: “Steve has shown great leadership and judgement in his previous positions with the LBOR, KAR and NAR. That is why the Realtor® leaders in Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri have put their trust in him for RVP. He will represent us on the NAR Executive Committee as well as the NAR Board of Directors. It’s a big responsibility and I know he’ll do a great job!”
