The Lawrence Public Library Summer Reading Program kickoff event was held on the library lawn on June 4, 2022. Parents and caregivers brought their kiddos to play games, win prizes, and munch on a doughnut or two.
McGrew Real Estate was excited to be the main sponsor of this fun-filled community event for the second year in a row. The Summer Reading Program is an annual task to challenge every Lawrence kid and teen to read a total of 10 books. This year, the theme is Oceans of Possibilities. The library encourages participants to, “Swim through endless reading reefs, dive deep into ten books, come up for air at our fun and free events, and hook a sweet catch of awesome prizes when you finish.”
Adults are invited to participate by becoming part of the Book Squad Go Goals Challenge (runs through Dec 31) or dive into traditional Summer Reading.
McGrew Real Estate will also sponsor the end of Summer Reading celebratory event in August on the library lawn. More details to come!
