Each month, McGrew holds a Wing Ding. Our agents bond over food, drink and conversation, happily experiencing a different local restaurant each round. This month was obviously different. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we held our Wing Ding virtually, but we wanted to make sure that we did not forget the very people that make our Wing Dings possible.
That’s why McGrew pledged to donate $10 for every participant in our virtual celebration to the Lawrence Restaurant Association’s Hospitality Relief Fund to aid local industry employees. With 39 participants, that brought the donation total to $390.
But then something unbelievable happened. Our agents and staff stepped up and pledged their own donations – an additional $870! We are grateful to be able to give $1,260 to an organization that distributes assistance payments to applicants facing hardship from layoffs and job loss.
April Virtual Wing Ding
Hospitality Relief Fund contributions will be passed through as direct aid to a local hospitality worker. Each approved applicant will receive up to $250 in aid. The number of applicants served depends on the funds raised.
