Alejandra Guzman Carrasco Fulfills Queen Duties in Drive-Thru Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade

McGrew REALTOR® Alejandra Guzman Carrasco was in the window of Weaver’s department store on March 18, 2021 as part of a drive-thru parade that the Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee hosted. Alejandra was voted 2020 Queen after helping to raise funds for the non-profit to donate to local children’s charities.

Alejandra Guzman Carrasco waves from Weaver’s department store in downtown Lawrence during the “reverse” St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17, 2021.

The Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee  has raised over $1 million over 34 years for local children’s charities thanks to fundraising events like the Shamrock Shuffle and Irish Road Bowling. At the forefront of the movement are the parade’s queen candidates, who act as point-of-contacts for donations.

This is the second consecutive year the parade has not occurred down Massachusetts Street in downtown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The distanced “reverse” parade was a way to safely celebrate.

Carrasco never stops working, even while enjoying the festivities at Red Lyon Tavern.
